We spent time feasting on 1 Cor. 10:31 over the past two weeks as I challenged you to let this scripture serve as the foundation of a New Year’s Resolution. 1 Cor. 10:31 “...whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God.” Acts 17:17 (NKJV) - “Therefore he reasoned in the synagogue with the Jews and with the Gentile worshipers, and in the marketplace daily with those who happened to be there.”

Add Your Notes »Who? These are people who say they believe that Jesus Christ is God’s Son. But, there is no true spiritual growth. The Goal Your goal with C’s is to get them moving toward becoming D’s - Developing Disciples. If you sense that they really don’t know Christ as Savior, then drop back and re-characterize them as an Apathetic “A." Then get them started on a search for spiritual truth. How? Hebrews 10:24-25

And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching.Who? Developing D’s are those Believers who are followers of Christ and who are doing things to deepen their knowledge of God and their relationship with Him. Goal: Our goal for those who we identify on our iMap as D’s is to move toward Excelling Christians. This puts a burden on us to move our own relationship with Christ ever deeper. How Phil. 3:10. The daily prayer for D’s might be: To know Christ better every day. To recognize His hand in their own life or in the life of another each day. To submit to the fellowship of His suffering - This means getting our eyes off worldly and onto spiritual things. Obedience.
Add Your Notes »The difference between D’s and E’s is that E’s are intentional in their efforts to infect others with their faith in Christ. Phil. 3:12-14

Not that I have already attained, or am already perfected; but I press on, that I may lay hold of that for which Christ Jesus has also laid hold of me. Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.Do you have any prayer requests that you would like the staff to pray for this week?
